4. Praying With Ease

Prayer comes from the heart, where Jesus lives.

Speaking to God doesn't require devout words or great forethought. Saint Teresa of Avila tells us that “Prayer…is nothing else than an intimate sharing between friends; it means taking time…to be alone with Him who we know loves us.”

Enjoy your peaceful time with your Creator as you would a serene sunset or a balmy breeze. You know in your heart that these are blessings from Him. Likewise, when you view a placid lake or flowing stream, your heart tells you that these were created for you. Consider how these spectacular and tranquil gifts come to you without thinking or even asking. They permeate your senses, and fill your heart with joy, taking your breath away.

This is God’s Precious Heart speaking to you.

Why not open your heart to His voice:

You need only

to be still

to be soft

to ponder

to ask

and then, to listen.
